At age 16, Orlando dropped out of school to pursue acting. First he joined the British American Drama Academy, then later was accepted into Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Orlando then appeared in small parts on the television shows "Casualty" and "Midsomer Muders." His first movie role was a small part in "Wilde." Then, luckily for us, Orlando tried out for and got the part of Legolas in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
